We've almost made it through the week, but today Drew as had some stomach issues. LOTS of dirty diapers and just as much whining lead us to take a diaper in to be tested for CDiff. We hope it's just a stomach bug going around, but after our last experience with CDiff, we know we want to get it taken care of if it is. Please pray that it passes, and he has a resful night, so we can! Going into tomorrow, I know I'll do better with a decent night of sleep. And if it is CDiff, pray we can get antibiotics going and he gets comfortable that way.
I feel like I ended the week with not as much anxiety as the beginning of the week. I know its the prayers being sent on our behalf, so thank you! His peace sure is amazing! We've kept busy too. I've been doing a lot of baking for Christmas, wrappin gifts, met an old friend in Owatanna on Thursday, and took Molly to a ball on Saturday! There was a Disney Princess ball yesterday afternoon, Molly's been looking forward to it for a while. We took her to it for her birthday, a fun non-Christmas themed event for her Decemeber 26th birthday. She loved it, and so did I. It was a wonderful afternoon for just the two of us. I really forgot about all that is going on around us and felt the magic of a room full of little girls dressed as Princesses with the "real" Princesses. Just what we both needed!
Our scan is at 7:30 tomorrow morning, followed by the bone marrow biopsy at 9. I have a great friend going with me in the morning for support, and Josh will be there for the meeting at 12:45 when we hear the report. If you would could, would you pray for us at 7:30? Pray for the mass to be smaller, and no new ones found. Or even the same size, that would be good too! And also for our nerves. We are all on edge, waiting to see what the scan shows. Pray for peace for Drew, that he cooperates as he usually does (the CT won't be sedated) and that the biopsy won't cause too much pain. And one more request? If you have a Gold for Drew shirt, could you wear it for us tomorrow? I asked this on his last day of radiation as a celebration of Drew across the country, tomorrow it would be neat to see us all coming together again to pray for the best.
I will update everyone when we are ready, hopefully we can start the week on a very high note!
