A quick update! Two days of testing done, and all the results were great! The Oncologist said Drew looks fantastic, and is as ready as anyone is for transplant number two. We are all going into uncharted territory as Mayo is just beginning to do two transplants for kids like Drew with Stage 4 "high risk" Neuroblastoma. But everyone agrees that Drew is probably setting the bar pretty high! We have a quiet weekend planned, since limitations are leaving us with few options. The team doesn't want Drew at the fair, around the animals and barns, or around big crowds (we had thought about the mall of America). And given his usual restriction around water, I guess we'll spend some down time at home before the whirlwind starts again.
Please pray that we can really enjoy these last few days together and also pray that things go well with transplant! That we can manage Drew's pain and keep him as comfortable as possible, that he experiences no significant complications, and that the tough process is effective in eliminating any last cancer cells in his body!
