Drawing from Drew

5-3-16

I just am so excited to share--we're still at home! We've taken his temperature at least every 6 hours as directed and have been so happy that he's remained fever free so far. Thank you for your prayers!! We had bloodwork done today in Austin, which we are so thankful to be able to have done in town. Meaning we haven't been to Rochester in a whole week!! It's been since our diagnosis on January 21st that we've been home together for more then 6 days. I'm glad I got all my "work" done over the weekend, so I don't feel bad just "playing" the last couple days! We've went for walks, played at parks, picked rhubarb from our neighbor's patch and did some baking. Drew's been in great spirits as well, full of energy! We pray to just keep adding days to our streak!!

My wonderful friends have been working hard planning the benefit for us, Bowling for the Becker's! I'm told there will be silent auction items, a raffle to win a 12v Gator or a 12v Tractor w/Trailer (2 winners, only 250 tickets will be sold) 50/50 raffles, and of course, bowling! It is May 21st at Echo Lanes here in Austin. They have a great website going, http://www.bowlingforthebeckers.com/ . T-shirts and raffle tickets are on sale now, so if it interests you, check it out! We are all really excited for the party--Molly keeps asking when Drew's bowling party is!!

Thanks again for all your prayers for us to be home this week, and for a successful surgery in hopefully a week from tomorrow!!

~Heidi
