We did not get the news today that we expected. Everyone assumed these scans would be good, but they were not. There are two spots that are larger and brighter then in June. We will have a CT scan and a biopsy tomorrow to confirm it is Neuroblastoma. Then Thursday we will meet with Oncology to discuss the results and our options. The oncologist is 90% sure it is progressed disease, which given all we have just completed, is very bad news. She said, hardly able to finish her sentence, that no one there wants to put Drew in that category, but unfortunately it looks like that is the situation. I will update again after our meeting Thursday.
For now keep Drew in your prayers. Keep us all in your prayers. As happy and "normal" as Drew seems today, it's hard to hear his prognosis should this be Neuroblastoma growing again...
